Markets Priced Patience Before They Priced Optimism
Monday's trading tone was less about exuberance and more about a belief that policy makers can wait without losing control.

The most important market signal on Monday was not raw optimism. It was patience. Investors appeared willing to accept an imperfect macro picture as long as the next policy decision did not have to be rushed.
Why patience has value
A market can work with mixed data if the direction is still legible. It struggles when policy makers seem trapped between inflation pressure and growth weakness. Monday's tone suggested investors still believe central banks have time to wait for confirmation.
That belief keeps risk assets supported without requiring a dramatic growth story. It also keeps the burden on incoming data: one noisy release is tolerable, but a pattern of contradictory evidence would quickly reduce the value of patience.
The signal to watch
Credit is the cleaner guide than equity enthusiasm. If spreads stay orderly while rates remain range-bound, the market's patience is intact. If lower-quality credit starts to wobble, optimism will look much thinner.
